Early Parenting Centres are designed to help parents overcome the physical, emotional and social challenges a new baby can bring.
Located throughout Australia, Ramsay Health Care’s Early Parenting Centres provide support to parents with common difficulties, including:
- Infant sleep and settling
- Establishing age-appropriate routines
- Feeding difficulties and introducing solids
- Reflux and colic
- Maternal exhaustion
- Maternal anxiety
- Adjusting to parenting
Together, our qualified staff provide an integrated approach in a nurturing environment, working in partnership with families to address their specific concerns. Our multidisciplinary teams are made up of specialists, which includes:
- Experienced nurses with qualifications in Midwifery, Psychiatry and Counselling
- Lactation consultants
- Maternal Child Health Nurses
- Mother Craft Nurses
- Clinical Psychologists
- General Practitioners
The Early Parenting Centre is designed to give families more opportunities to address the immense physical, emotional and social transitions associated with having a baby and bring about positive changes.
Desired outcomes upon completion of the program may include increasing parent’s skills and confidence in responding to the needs of their baby, improving sleep and settling behaviours, establishing an age-appropriate routine or supporting secure bonding and attachment interactions between parents and their babies.
