Mr Jon Armstrong is a Specialist General Surgeon who provides bariatric, endocrine and general surgery services at Hollywood Hospital.
He has worked as a consultant surgeon since 2002 and has performed thousands of bariatric procedures. Dr Armstrong set up Advance Surgical in 2013 and as the Medical Director works with an experienced and friendly team of dietitians, and a psychologist in his practice. His special interest include sleeve gastrectomy and bypass surgery, minimally invasive parathyroid and thyroid surgery and laparoscopic andrenal surgery.
Jon also performs Endocrine Surgery and General Surgery (except Breast and Colorectal surgery).
Background & Training
Jon completed his medical studies in Oxford University and St.Bartholomew’s in London. Having migrated to Perth in 1995, he obtained his fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in General Surgery. Jon also completed a fellowship year in France in Endocrine and Bariatric surgery techniques.
