Dr Learoyd is an academic Endocrinologist, and Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Sydney and the Department of Endocrinology at RNSH. She has an interest in thyroid disease. She has recently set up a thyroid cancer clinical database in collaboration with the thyroid surgeons and with a grant from the NSW Cancer Institute, to enhance research collaboration with the Cancer Genetics laboratory. She is an investigator in clinical trials of new agents in thyroid cancer. She has a number of roles in the Northern Clinical School including Postgraduate Co-ordinator for the department of Medicine of the University of Sydney.
