Dr Nicole Potasz is an experienced medical oncologist who has been practising medical oncology on the Mornington Peninsula for over 15 years.
Nicole completed her medical degree at Monash University in 1994 and advanced training in medical oncology in 2002. She has worked at various tertiary hospitals before completing a clinical research year at The Austin Hospital in 2002.
Nicole has been working in the medical oncology department of Frankston Hospital since 2003 looking after outpatients and participating in the inpatient ward service roster. She commenced private practice in Frankston in 2008.
Nicole is a general medical oncologist but has particular interests in breast cancer, lung cancer and gastrointestinal cancer. She participates in several multidisciplinary meetings across the aforementioned tumour streams and is an active member of clinical trial groups in her areas of special interest. She believes all patients should have access to both multidisciplinary care as well as clinical trials. Nicole has a special interest in quality of life after breast cancer diagnosis and survivorship care.
Nicole is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, The European Society of Medical Oncology, The Medical Oncology Group of Australia as well as subspecialty interest groups including Breast Cancer Trials, the Australian Lung Cancer Trials Group and the Australian Gastrointestinal Trials Group.
