Dr Juan Rois is a Rehabilitation Medicine Physcian with an interest in stroke, general rehabilitation of neurologic, orthopaedic, musculoskeletal, and reconditioning following medical and surgical illnesses. Dr Rois undertook his speciality training in Australia and admitted as a Fellow of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine. He offers a range of services in inpatient and outpatient settings for general rehabilitation including Botulinum toxin injection for spasticity management. Currently a Visiting Medical Officer at St Andrew’s Ipswich Private Hospital where has worked since the commencement of rehabilitation services in 2015. He also works as Staff Specialist at Ipswich General Hospital and holds the position of Clinical Lead in Rehabilitation Services for the hospital.
Dr Rois is also a member of the Rehabilitation Medicine Society of Australia and New Zealand, a Senior Lecturer of the School of Medicine – University of Queensland, Supervisor for Rehabilitation Medicine Trainees, and Examiner for the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine. He belongs to the Rehabilitation Working Party involved with the update of the National Stroke Foundation Clinical Guidelines for Stroke Management.
During his spare time, Dr Rois enjoys his days off with his family and cooking a barbeque feast for his friends. He enjoys singing in a Latin band, and plays soccer in his local community.
