Waverley Private Hospital would like to introduce Dr Scott Pearce, a caring, approachable, reassuring, and experienced obstetrician and gynaecologist.
He obtained his medical degree in 1993 from Monash University. After 2 years working at the Alfred Hospital Scott commenced specialist obstetrics and gynaecology training at Monash Medical Centre in 1996, obtaining specialist qualifications (Fellow of RANZCOG) in February 2002.
In 2001 and 2002 Scott was the inaugural advanced gynaecological surgical fellow at Monash Medical Centre, Melbourne. This specialist 2-year full time post graduate course, one of the most highly regarded gynaecological surgical fellowships in Australia, covered full specialist training in laparoscopic, hysteroscopic, urogynaecological (prolapse and incontinence) and benign open gynaecological surgery.
Scott is one of the few gynaecologists in Australia to have completed a two-year formal laparoscopic surgery fellowship, to learn the specialised skills needed to perform laparoscopic surgery.
After commencing private specialist practice in 2003 Scott undertook fertility and IVF training at the Royal Women’s Hospital, Melbourne, in conjunction with Melbourne IVF.
Scott has been on the organising committee of Australian and international conferences, operated live surgery at numerous conferences and has presented many conference papers. He has published medical research and has co-authored a chapter in a hysteroscopic surgery textbook. Scott won the AGES travelling fellowship award in 2003 to further his laparoscopic surgical training in Berlin, Germany and Caen, France.
