DR SEAN ROTHWELL has been appointed to the position of Director of Medical Services at Greenslopes Private Hospital. An Emergency Physician, Sean has extensive experience in both private and public emergency medicine. He has a Masters in Health Management and is an Associate Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Medical Administrators. Sean was one of the first Emergency Physicians to work at Greenslopes Emergency Centre, commencing in 2004. He has also undertaken roles including the Director of St Andrew’s Emergency Centre and the Director of the Wesley Emergency Centre. 14 The Ramsay Way 2017 | 01 NICOLA WARE has commenced as Chief Executive Officer of the Ramsay Hospital Research Foundation (RHRF) after an extensive recruitment process. Nicola has an excellent track record in health-related research. In her most recent role, she was the Chief Operating Officer of Neuroscience Australia (NeuRA) where she was responsible for a $25m budget and the extensive operations of this company including finance, IT, HR, facilities, administration and compliance. Prior to this she was General Manager at the Melanoma Institute for 8 years where she achieved seven consecutive years of growth in revenue and operations. In her early career she worked at the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute. She has an Honours in Biotechnology and an MBA. Nicola will report to the newly established RHRF Board. KRISTY CHALLINGSWORTH has been appointed to the role of Commercial Manager at Mitcham Private Hospital. Kristy comes from Victoria Parade Surgery Centre, where she held the role of Chief Financial Officer & Company Secretary. Kristy has been responsible for the financial management & reporting for the hospital and was pivotal in the transition of the hospital to its new owners Cura Day Hospital Group. Prior to this Kristy worked in a variety of accounting and analyst roles in a diverse range of companies in both Australia and England including Pelagic Group, Mayne Pharma and Barclays Wealth Management.
