Australia Day Honours 2016 Ramsay Health Care congratulates the following people for receiving Australia Day honours. Professor Mark Frydenberg, awarded an AM (Member in the General Division of the Order of Australia) for significant service to medicine as a clinician, educator and author in the speciality of urology, and to professional medical organisations. Professor Frydenberg has worked at Masada Private Hospital for over 20 years and is highly respected by his medical and nursing colleagues. Associate Professor Michael Woodward has been appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for his service to geriatric medical research, aged care and Alzheimer’s disease. He has been a consultant physician at Donvale Rehabilitation Hospital since 1990 and has made a significant contribution to the hospital’s academic, clinical and governance program since that time. Dr Timothy Michael Cooper was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to medicine in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery as a clinician and to professional medical associations. Dr Cooper is a Hollywood specialist. During these events, both the Award of Excellence and Preceptor of the Year awards were presented by HESTA our proud sponsors. Dudley had only two theatres and was busy performing c-sections. Today Dudley has five theatres and is very busy with orthopaedics and a dedicated day surgery unit. Lisa has worked in a variety of places including the wards, recovery and now theatres. “It certainly has changed a lot over the years but I wouldn’t change a thing,” Lisa said. “Dudley Private has always been a wonderful place to work and this is why staff continue to stay so long.” RAMSAY PEOPLE Professor Mark Frydenberg AM The new "I'm a John Flynn Baby" keepsakes are given to all babies born at the hospital as part of John Flynn Private's partnership to support the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital Foundation. Attached to the keepsake koalas is a scroll with information for parents on how they can take part in the "Walkways for Wildlife" program by buying a paver engraved with their child's name to contribute to the paved walkway outside the wildlife hospital in the Currumbin Sanctuary. John Flynn Private Hospital has been a long term proud supporter of the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital Foundation helping with donations of equipment and supplies to assist with the treatment and rehabilitation of injured animals. Dudley Celebrates 200 years of Combined Service Dudley Private Hospital celebrated a combined 200 years of service from 13 of its employees who reached milestones in their years of service.
