Shepparton Private Hospital Graduate Nurse Program
The staff at Shepparton Private Hospital work together to provide
a supportive caring environment for new graduates who wish
to undertake their graduate year in the rural setting.
The program’s primary aim is to assist the new graduate
to become a confident and skilled Registered Nurse by providing
a structured program of clinical support, regular feed back and
opportunities for enhanced learning and professional development.

PROGRAM INFORMATION
- 52 weeks duration - participation in the Ramsay ‘Grad Plus” program
- Positions available 2-4
- Annual intake - February each year

Flexible contracted hours – minimum of 48 hours per
fortnight
- Comprehensive Orientation
- Supernumerary time - minimum of 1 weeks at commencement
of program minimum of one day on each rotation.
- Regular paid “Grad Plus” Program Study Days
- Rotations to each medical/surgical areas and Operating Theatre
- Opportunity to work in High Dependency Area
- First rotation a minimum of 10 weeks
- Graduate Program Coordinator to assist through the year
- Trained preceptors for each rotation
- Entitlements as per Award and EBA
