Rehabilitation development underway at Beleura The Ramsay Way - 2015 | 02 7 Masada studies parent fatigue MASADA PRIVATE HOSPITAL’S MOTHER BABY UNIT WILL SHORTLY COMMENCE A STUDY WITH MONASH UNIVERSITY, WHICH WILL AIM TO GAIN A GREATER UNDERSTANDING OF THE EXTENT, EXPERIENCE AND IMPACT OF FATIGUE AMONG PARENTS OF INFANTS WITH UNSETTLED BEHAVIOUR. The project aims to extend previous research by investigating fatigue, sleep, emotional well-being and sustained attention in women attending the Masada Private Hospital Mother Baby Unit. The aim of the study is to increase the awareness of sleep disturbance, Sleepiness and fatigue symptoms in mothers of infants with unsettled infant behaviour amongst health care practitioners and the general community. It will also Increase the understanding of the extent of these same symptoms in partners of mothers with unsettled infants and may identify specific subgroups of parents with unsettled infant behaviour who could benefit from more targeted treatment for fatigue and sleepiness symptoms in Masada’s Mother Baby Unit, or in other health care settings. The research may increase current understanding of the social factors that influence relationships between sleep disturbance, fatigue and symptoms of psychological distress. A COMPREHENSIVE 30 BED REHABILITATION FACILITY IS UNDERWAY FOR RAMSAY’S BELEURA PRIVATE HOSPITAL FACILITY ON THE MORNINGTON PENINSULA. Beleura and Peninsula Private Hospital Chief Executive Officer Paul Geddes said he was excited about providing a rehabilitation service to the community of the Mornington Peninsula. “The new service will be a huge bonus for patients recovering from orthopaedic joint replacement surgery, spinal surgery, major or minor surgery or a medical condition where there is a need to improve tolerance, strength, pain relief or functional ability,” Paul said.
