Ramsay Health Care has kicked off a year-long celebration of nurses and midwives with a global campaign that spans 11 countries.

To mark the occasion, Ramsay is profiling one nurse or midwife from a different part of the world each week – for the entire year.
The campaign is designed to highlight the vital roles these men and women play in delivering excellent health care services.
Through their profiles, these men and women will share some of their experiences, motivations and future aspirations with their peers as well as the general community.
Nurses and midwives make up more than two-fifths of our workforce: 39% in France, 54% in Australia, 37% in Asia, 25% in the UK, and 32% in the Nordics.
Ramsay Australia CEO, Danny Sims, said: “It’s a great initiative which gives us the opportunity to reflect on and celebrate the important contributions Ramsay nurses and midwives make to our patients, and to the overall health of the global population.”
“I personally would like to voice my thanks for the great teamwork, care and commitment displayed by our nurses and midwives as they go about their work each and every day,” he said.
The nurse and midwife profiles are being hosted on Ramsay Health Care’s global website; they are also being shared on social media.
So far, the campaign has featured profiles of Ramsay nurses from Australia, the UK, France, Sweden and Malaysia.
“Each person has a different tale to tell and I’m certainly finding it interesting learning more about people from various parts of the Ramsay family,” Mr Sims said.
