Ramsay Health Care has signed on as a Gold Partner of Australia’s leading LGBTQIA+ education charity, The Pinnacle Foundation.
The three-year partnership will see The Ramsay Health Care Scholarship awarded annually to young LGBTQIA+ Australians studying in medical or healthcare related fields to undertake fulltime tertiary studies.
Ramsay’s Chief Risk Officer and Legal Services Director, and Chair of the company’s Diversity Equity Inclusion and Belonging Committee, Chanelle McEnallay, said she hopes the scholarships will help some young Australians to realise their full potential.
“After meeting with The Pinnacle Foundation, I was absolutely blown away by their stories and their journey,” Ms McEnallay said.
“Ramsay’s Diversity Equity Inclusion and Belonging Committee is committed to seeking opportunities to support medical and health care professionals to overcome challenges arising from their identity.
“In Australia we operate 74 facilities, employing more than 30,000 people. Our aim is to have a workforce as diverse as the communities we operate in.
“We’re proud to partner with The Pinnacle Foundation for the next three years and look forward to welcoming our scholarship applicants to the Ramsay family.”
