Thousands sweat for charity in Ramsay Health Care Triathlon Pink

July 17, 2019

Nearly 4,000 women and their families across Australia have taken part in the Ramsay Health Care Triathlon Pink series for 2018/19.

The season, which included six fun events in Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast, raised more than $81,500 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Melbourne topped the list for the highest number of entrants, with 826 participants signing up to complete one of the triathlon events or the fun run.

This series marked the 12th anniversary of the Ramsay Health Care’s involvement in the Triathlon Pink event. More than 64,000 athletes have taken part in the experience since its inception in 2007.

The main focus is the charity aspect of each series and so far, more than $2.19 million dollars has been raised for breast cancer charities.

The latest series ran from October 2018 until March 2019. Each event is becoming more popular, with regular news about Triathlon Pink now reaching about 44,000 people.

While the latest Triathlon Pink has only just wrapped up, planning is already underway for the next series which kicks off later this year.
