RACHEL COLLINS Rachel Collins has been appointed as Director of Clinical Services, New Farm Clinic, Brisbane. Rachel has 22 years’ experience as a Registered Mental Health Nurse, fulfilling positions at New Farm, Hollywood and Mildura hospitals. Rachel completed her law degree in 2008 and was admitted to the Supreme Court Queensland in 2009. Rachel returned to New Farm in 2010 as a Nurse Unit Manager. Rachel completed the Ramsay Future Leaders Program in 2014. CHRIS SUTTON Chris Sutton has been appointed Director Finance & Administration at Greenslopes Private Hospital. Chris will already be known to some, as he worked as Director Finance & Admin at Kareena Private Hospital between 2010–2011 in a Maternity relief position. Chris brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience having previously worked in senior executive finance and administration roles in multinational organisations. LEONIE GARDINER Leonie Gardiner has been appointed to the position of CEO/DCS Glengarry Private Hospital. For the past five years Leonie has filled the position of Director of Nursing at Subiaco Private Hospital. Leonie was heavily involved in the commissioning of this relatively new private hospital and significantly instrumental in developing its good reputation. For the previous 11 years, Leonie held various positions at Peel Health Campus and prior to that worked in both country and metropolitan WA public hospitals for an extended period of time. LAURA DAVIES Laura Davies has been appointed to the role of Director of Clinical Services, Kareena Private Hospital and Kingsway Day Surgery. Prior to employment with Ramsay Health Care, Laura spent many years at Royal North Shore Hospital in key roles within the intensive care and critical care setting. Laura commenced with Ramsay Health Care in May 2011 at North Shore Private Hospital (NSPH) as the Clinical Manager Intensive Care Unit. Apart from providing strong clinical leadership and ensuring a high standard of clinical care, Laura also co-ordinated the expansion of the department from 14 to 19 beds. In March 2014, Laura was promoted to the role of NSPH Assistant Director of Clinical Services of which her portfolio included the various medical and surgical wards, intensive care, maternity services, patient flow and hospital employed medical officers. In 2014 Laura also obtained a Masters in Health Management from the University of NSW. JESSICA AUSTIN Jessica Austin has been appointed to the role of Director of Clinical Services – Wollongong Private Hospital Prior to employment with Ramsay Health Care, Jessica spent 4 years working in the public system in Victoria. Since joining Ramsay Health Care in 2010 at Linacre Private, Jess has worked at St George Private in Intensive Care, and Figtree Private Hospital as the Clinical Services Manager. Most recently Jessica has been working with the Wollongong Private commissioning team responsible for all recruitment and staff transfer from Figtree Private. Jess has completed a Post Graduate Certificate in High Dependency Nursing and is currently completing a Diploma in Human Resource Management. SHERRYN BOWKER Sherryn Bowker has been appointed to the position of Director of Clinical Services at Linacre Private Hospital. Prior to employment with Ramsay Health Care, Sherryn worked at The Harley Street Hospital in London, where she progressed quickly to the role of Head of Clinical Services, a position she held for 5 years before returning to Australia. As well as the delivery of quality care through her teams, Sherryn has been responsible for regulatory compliance, business development, the introduction of new services, and the day to day management of clinical and non-clinical hospital departments. IAN GALV IN Ian Galvin has been appointed to the role of Ramsay Professional Services Manager – Illawarra, this role encompasses all Allied Health Services across the Illawarra, Lawrence Hargraves Private, Figtree Private Rehabilitation, and the acute physiotherapy services at Wollongong Private Hospital. Ian will commence in this role from 1 January 2016 with the opening of Wollongong Private and the conversion of Figtree Private. Ian has been the Rehabilitation Services Manager at Lawrence Hargraves since 2011. During this time, he has overseen the successful development of a number of new day program and outpatient allied health services. Prior to joining Ramsay, he worked in a range of private and public rehabilitation facilities across Australia and the UK. Ian is a qualified Physiotherapist and has completed the Ramsay Future Leaders Program as well as holding a Master’s Degree in Health Management. ELISE PIUCCO Elise Piucco has been appointed to Wollongong Private Hospital in the position of Commercial Manager. Elise completed a Bachelor of Business, Finance and Accounting Degree at UTS, and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2014. Elise has worked at Ernst and Young for the last 8 years where she has held senior consultant and management roles. Elise commenced a cadetship at E&Y where she performed statutory audits of financial statements and led engagement teams across different industries. In 2012 Elise was promoted to Senior Consultant, Performance Improvement – Advisory where she managed different procurement and supply chain projects. Most recently, Elise has been Digital Supply Chain Lead – Asia Pacific Digital. Upon commencement with the Wollongong Private Hospital team, Elise will be responsible for all financial reporting manage all of the non-clinical staff.
