FUN AND FITNESS Mitcham Private Hospital — Mudderella! In November, 16 Mitcham Private theatre staff took part in the first running of Mudderella, Melbourne. Mudderella is an 8-10 kilometre muddy course featuring 12 to 15 obstacles designed to test balance, full-body strength and agility. The event, which is not timed, encourages women to ‘own your strong’ in a positive, team-focused atmosphere that reinforces participants’ dedication to personal aspirations and fitness. The team named “Operation Resuscitation” worked together conquering the hilly course and sometimes challenging obstacles. All participants, with varying degrees of fitness, worked together supporting, encouraging, dragging, pushing or boosting their teammates to the finish line. The Team participated in the Dragons Abreast Festival at Darling Harbour showing support for breast cancer survivors and raising awareness, empowering individuals and educating people on the benefits of an active lifestyle after diagnosis. The team did the hospital proud, making the finals and finishing in 5th place overall. We were all very excited to make the Finals, where we improved our time by four seconds. Great effort!
