New Ramsay practices offer one-stop-shop for psychology and allied health services

Residents in and around Perth now have access to a range of leading health care services under one roof, with Ramsay Health Care opening new practices at Joondalup and Mount Pleasant offering collocated psychology and allied health services.
Ramsay’s Chief Operating Officer for Out of Hospital services, Andrew Smith, said the new practices offer locals much-needed health care services in one convenient location.
“The practices include Ramsay Psychology - Australia's fastest growing and most expansive national psychology business,” Mr Smith said.
“Our teams of psychologists provide personalised care for adults, teenagers, children, couples and families across a wide range of mental health conditions and symptoms - from anxiety and depression to relationship problems, or coping with significant change and stress due to the pandemic and economic factors.
“We understand that mental health, and mental health challenges, look different for everyone. That’s why our psychologists are experienced in a wide range of evidence-based therapies and have a triage service to carefully match patients with the best psychologist for their needs.
“As well as psychology services, the practices also offer allied health services through Ramsay Health Plus – Australia’s largest private allied health team.
“Allied health services include physiotherapy, dietetics, occupational therapy, speech pathology and more. And our specialists will be able to help link people to other health services they may need.
“The Ramsay Health Plus team can also assist patients with rehabilitation services following surgery at Joondalup Health Campus, and Ramsay’s Hollywood Private Hospital.”
The Joondalup and Mount Pleasant practices are the first of their kind for Ramsay in Western Australia, with the model proving successful in Victoria and Queensland. A third practice, in West Perth, will open in coming months.
“Ramsay Health Care sees patients who are covered by private health insurance and those who are self-funded. Clients can access the service without a referral or with a Mental Health Care Plan from their GP,” Mr Smith said.
The Joondalup practice is located at Suite 1.03, 5 Davidson Terrace, Joondalup, WA. The Mt Pleasant practice is located at 56 Kishorn Road, Mount Pleasant.
