The research, by recruitment and HR services firm Randstad, surveyed almost 6,000 Australians in one of the world’s largest independent employer brand studies. 

Ramsay Health Care Australia CEO, Carmel Monaghan, said the organisation’s success stemmed from its culture of “people caring for people”.

“Our long-standing values are underpinned by the enduring belief of our founder, Paul Ramsay AO, that if you look after the people, success will follow,” Ms Monaghan said. 

“Being included on this list is particularly pleasing given the challenges our sector has faced during the past two years. We have been working hard to foster an enjoyable and flexible work environment and create professional development opportunities. We also prioritise the wellbeing and mental health of our teams.

“In our own internal surveys our people have told us they value career progression and professional development, and we listened. We’ve recently expanded our Ramsay Health Care Australian Leadership Academy offer support, mentorship and career pathways for our people.

Ramsay joined Australian Leisure and Hospitality Group, BHP and Virgin Australia as the only non-public sector employers, a shift from the previous year when private companies dominated the list.
