Ramsay Mental Health launches national psychiatry education program

Ramsay Mental Health has launched a new education program to offer its psychiatrists and psychiatry registrars regular access to professional development from some of the nation’s best mental health professionals.
Director of Ramsay Mental Health Australia, Anne Mortimer, said the program was designed to offer access to the incredible expertise within the organisation to assist its visiting medical officers (VMOs) to keep up to date with the most recent clinical information to provide their patients with the highest standards of clinical care.
“Ramsay Mental Health’s Psychiatry Symposium Series is something we’ve been developing for some time,” Ms Mortimer said.
“As Australia’s leading private psychiatrist network, we are ideally placed to deliver high-quality education and, as a leading private trainer of psychiatry registrars, we want to extend this offering to Australia’s future psychiatrists also.
“In short, we want to share our collective wisdom to create better outcomes for our patients.”
The Psychiatry Symposium Series will further enhance the broad educational offerings available to Ramsay Mental Health’s psychiatrists and future psychiatrists, which includes the New Fellow Mentorship Program, specialised Eating Disorders Training Program and national special interest craft groups. The webinar-based series will commence in July 2023.
