Ramsay Pharmacy has expanded its COVID-19 vaccination service with the launch of its first dedicated COVID-19 booster clinic for Ramsay Health Care employees and their families.
Ramsay Pharmacy Chief Operating Officer, Michelle Lynch, said the clinic at Greenslopes Private Hospital in Brisbane is the first of many sites to be rolled out along Australia’s east coast.
“I’m excited to have launched our first booster vaccination clinic at Greenslopes and hope we will have many more throughout Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria soon,” Ms Lynch said.
“The clinic is offering free third doses to employees and their families, as well as administering vaccines to children aged five to 11 years old.
“Current advice from the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) is that a booster dose of a COVID-19 vaccine is likely to increase your protection against the Omicron variant, and we want to make it as easy as possible for our people to get access to this important third dose.”
Ramsay Pharmacy CEO, Greg Kennedy, said he is proud of the way Ramsay Pharmacy is helping protect Australians against COVID-19.
“This new booster service for Ramsay employees is in addition to the COVID-19 vaccine program we are offering to the general community.”
“Since the national vaccination program began last year, we’ve administered 32,670 COVID-19 vaccines at Ramsay Pharmacy sites around the country,” Mr Kennedy said.
“We’re always looking for ways to help improve the health and safety of our local communities.”
