Dr Adlyn Adnan is an Irish-trained medical doctor who completed her training in Rehabilitation Medicine in Queensland. Dr Adnan has been practising Rehabilitation Medicine for 10 years and has been involved in both public and private practice during her training. Dr Nigel Pinto was raised in Brisbane and attained a Bachelor of Medical Science at QUT. He proceeded to the University of Queensland receiving two memorial prizes on graduation with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. Dr Pinto completed his residency years in the major surgical hospitals of Brisbane before finalising his specialty training in vascular surgery in secondments both locally at the Royal Brisbane and Princess Alexandra Hospitals and overseas in New Zealand. Matthew is a medical graduate of The University of Queensland (UQ) and underwent Urology specialty training in Queensland, including at Redcliffe Hospital. Dr Janet Sharpe is a Specialist Neonatologist (Neonatal Paediatrician) with extensive experience in the care of newborn babies. Dr Ian Shaw graduated from the University of Queensland (MBBS) in November 1994. After completing a rural scholarship in Kingaroy, Dr Shaw commenced his surgical career whilst living in Edinburgh, Scotland. Dr Shaw's subsequent training in surgery was based around and completed at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (RBWH). Dr Shaw updated a textbook chapter on gallstones before receiving his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS). Dr Shaw then spent nearly two years at Basingstoke in the United Kingdom undergoing further training in advanced laparoscopic upper gastrointestinal surgery and liver resection for metastatic colorectal cancer.
Dr Terry Sheahan is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, providing fertility services including IVF and is able to follow the patient and her partner through fertility treatments all the way through pregnancy to delivery. Dr Sheahan is a Queensland Graduate who spent a number of years doing specialty training in the United Kingdom before returning to Brisbane.

Dr Siva is excited to join the practice of Dr Min Kho at North West Private Hospital at Everton Park, Brisbane. Dr Siva is a UK trained Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with interests in advanced laparoscopic surgery, including total laparoscopic hysterectomy (TLH) and vaginal prolapse surgery (pelvic organ prolapse). Dr Siva began his journey in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in Glasgow, Scotland, completing his training rotation in Manchester, England. Dr Irene Skiathitis consults in General Paediatrics at Stafford Heights. Her areas of interest include children with: Developmental issues/learning difficulties Autism Spectrum Disorder Behavioral concerns including attention difficulties Dr Skiathitis completed her medical degree at the University of Queensland, in 1997 and since then gained experience in paediatrics and neonatology, training at the Royal Children’s Hospital Brisbane and also the Gold Coast, Redcliffe, Townsville, and Ipswich Hospital prior to qualifying as a Fellow of The Royal Australasian College of Physicians (paediatrics).
Dr Tai Smith is a Queensland trained Ophthalmologist that specialises in eyelid, orbit and lacrimal surgery. His subspeciality fellowship training was completed at the University of British Columbia Eye Care Centre in Vancouver, Canada in 2012. This is a highly sought-after fellowship under the tutelage of Dr Peter Dolman. He joins North West Private Hospital to complement the Mohs micrographic surgery team, lending his expertise in reconstruction of eyelids after skin cancer removal. He will work in tandem with Dr Dougal Coates, Mohs Surgeon.
Dr Sowden obtained his medical degree from Griffith University in 2012 after first completing a BA at The University Of Queensland. He completed his internship and physician training at The Prince Charles Hospital. Subsequently he started Cardiology training at The Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital and The Prince Charles Hospital with rotations to the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast University Hospitals. He obtained his fellowship with the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2020 and then undertook a fellowship in heart failure and cardiac transplant at TPCH in 2021. Dr Scott Teske graduated from the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia in 1983. After completed his initial three years of ophthalmological training in 1993, he spent his final elective year of training in at the Orange Eye Centre, as the director of ophthalmic plastic surgery. Dr Teske then headed to the University of Cincinnati in Ohio, USA where he completed a formal fellowship in ophthalmic plastic surgery in 1996 under the tutelage of Drs Dwight Kulwin, Robert Kersten and Mark Cepela. Since August 1996, Dr Teske has practiced ophthalmic plastic surgery exclusively in central Brisbane and several locations in south-east Queensland Australia. Dr Voltz completed dental training in 1991 at the University of Qld. Following three years in General practice and working as a demonstrator at the Dental school he embarked on the Queensland Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Training program. At the completion of a Medical qualification in 1998, Dr Voltz rotated through medical and surgical appointments at the Royal Brisbane Hospital and then spent a year at Ipswich Hospital as a Principal House Officer in General Surgery. Dr. Barbara Woodhouse graduated in dentistry from the University of Queensland in 1978 and worked for Queensland Health and in private practice – both in rural Queensland and in Brisbane – before deciding to specialise in oral and maxillofacial surgery. After completing a Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons, she returned to the University of Queensland to teach and to complete a Masters degree in oral and maxillofacial surgery in combination with a four-year surgical training program, initially at the Royal Brisbane Hospital. To broaden her experience, Dr. Woodhouse completed her final year in a world class training facility in the United Kingdom and was admitted to Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
Dan trained as a gastroenterologist in Adelaide. He moved to Brisbane in 2007–2010, completing a PhD and a Master of Public Health at UQ and working at the RBWH. Dr Gerald Yeo is a Queensland trained and qualified Orthopaedic Surgeon graduating with honours from medical school in Tasmania. Dr Zafar is an Orthopaedic surgeon who completed his training in Queensland. He moved to Australia in 2006, working in the UK at the University Hospital Birmingham for 2 years prior. He has worked in a variety of settings from regional centres to major metropolitan hospitals.
Tom Zhou completed his Medical Degree at the University of Queensland in 2003. He completed his physician training at Princess Alexandra Hospital in 2008, and subsequently undertook advanced training in Gastroenterology at Townsville and Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. He received training in general gastroenterology, inflammatory bowel disease and liver diseases during this time. Tom developed specific interests in liver diseases, and conducted clinical research in viral hepatitis during his gastroenterology training. He presented at several congresses nationally and internationally. After obtaining fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians Tom undertook further training in liver diseases. He completed a hepatology fellowship at Princess Alexandra Hospital.
