Dr Khaled Bhuiyan is a clinical cardiologist with special interest in heart failure, cardiomyopathies, ischaemic heart disease and strain echocardiography.
Dr Hannah Burns completed a Bachelor of Science degree at Victoria University, Wellington, New Zealand before moving to Brisbane to study medicine. She graduated from the University of Queensland and completed her internship and residency at the Royal Brisbane Hospital. Following surgical PHO positions in Queensland and Sydney, Hannah completed her ENT training in Queensland. Hannah gained her fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of surgeons in 2008.
Dr Camuglia is a general ophthalmologist and has done further subspecialty fellowship training in paediatric and strabismus to broaden the scope of her practice to all ages.
Dr Carroll is an experienced general ophthalmologist, having obtained his medical degree and ophthalmology training in Queensland then completing a fellowship at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in 2005. He has a particular interest in cataract surgery and medical retinal disease and is skilled in intravitreal injection therapy for macular degeneration.

Dr Richard Cheng is an Australian trained gastroenterologist and the Director of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Redcliffe Hospital in Brisbane. Dr Cheng graduated from the University of Melbourne and was awarded the Fellowship of the FRACP in 2014. His further studies included a Bachelor of Medical Science through the Austin Hospital Liver Transplant Unit, where he trained in management of chronic liver disease and its complications.
Dr. Sam Chopra is an Australian trained Urological Surgeon working at
North West private hospital. He has special interest in minimally invasive
and robotic surgical techniques to treat conditions of the urogenital tract.
Dr Annie Chou is a Rehabilitation Medicine Specialist with special interest in pain medicine, musculoskeletal medicine and regenerative medicine. She also has an interest in ultrasound guided procedures for management of chronic pain and is a member of World Academy of Pain Medicine Ultrasonography. Dr Chou trained in Brisbane and undertook multiple medical training appointments in the Metro North Hospitals, St Vincent’s Private Hospital Brisbane and Greenslopes Private Hospital. She also had overseas training experiences in stroke rehabilitation, orthogeriatric medicine, amputee rehabilitation, spinal injury rehabilitation, and interventional pain medicine.
Dr Adrian Clubb completed a medical science degree prior to completing his medical degree at the University of Sydney, with a clinical attachment to the Royal North Shore Hospital. He completed his general surgical training in New South Wales prior to moving to Queensland to complete his advanced urological training.
Dr Melinda Cook is a local graduate and trainee having completed her general surgery fellowship in 2003 and then working with Professor Ian Gough, Dr Colin Furnival and Dr Barry Fryar as the Breast and Endocrine Surgical Fellow in 2005. Dr Cook also holds a Fellowship in Burns Surgery, obtained during 12 months working in the Professor Stuart Pegg Burns Unit at the Royal Brisbane Hospital.
Dr Cooke has been working in private practice in Brisbane for over ten years. After completing his orthopaedic training, he spent two years working in his areas of subspecialty interests in Sydney, Vancouver and Sheffield.
Dr Cooke set up his private practice in 2005 at the North West Private Hospital, Ramsay Place Suites, Mater Private Clinic, South Brisbane and Mater Redlands Clinic. Dr Cooke established an “Urgent Hip, Knee & Lower limb Trauma Clinic which he operates on Monday evenings.
Along with his private practice he is the Director of Orthopaedics at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. In this role, he has established a hip fracture service and maintains his interest in high energy trauma and complex hip and knee replacement surgeries.

Dr Joanne Dale is a locally trained specialist colorectal and general surgeon, operating and consulting at North West Private Hospital. Dr Mark Dekkers is a local UQ graduate who completed his Orthopaedic training in Queensland in 2001. He completed specialist training in knee surgery in the UK and Europe with advanced training in Joint Replacement, knee reconstruction and cartilage repair surgery (including cartilage implantation).Dr Dekkers is committed to the management of acute knee injuries which is supported by the introduction of an Acute Knee clinic that runs weekly at both North West Private Hospital and Greenslopes Private Hospital. He has a public appointment as the Deputy Director of Orthopaedics at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
Benedict Devereaux completed his undergraduate medical degree at the University of Queensland in 1991. He undertook his junior training and subsequent Gastroenterology training at the Royal Brisbane Hospital, Brisbane, Australia. This culminated in his obtaining fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 1998.
Ben then completed fellowships in endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA between 1999 and 2001. Ben operates at North West Private Hospital.
Dr Ben Dodd is a General Surgeon with subspecialty interest in laparoscopic upper gastrointestinal (oesophagogastric) and bariatric surgery.

Dr David Gilpin is an Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in surgery of the Hand and Upper Limb, including microsurgery. He is a University of Queensland graduate (1982 second class honours).. Dr Leah Goodwin is a Rehabilitation Medicine physician who was granted Fellowship of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine in 2014. Dr Michaela Hock is a highly experienced Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. Dr Hock joined the team at North West Private Hospital in 2012 having spent the previous 4 years as Director of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Wimmera Base Hospital in Horsham Victoria.

Dr Kevin Huang completed his orthopaedic training in Queensland in 2002 and did an additional 18 months fellowship training in hand and upper limb surgery. Twelve months were dedicated to problems of the wrist and hand (including microsurgery) at the Sydney Hand Unit based at Sydney Hospital & St Luke's Hospital.
Dr Huang spent a further 6 months completing an upper limb fellowship at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane with a primary focus on shoulder and elbow problems.

Dr Michelle O'Brien grew up and attended public schools in regional Queensland (Australia). Dr Soong-Yuan Ooi is an Australian trained Gastroenterologist with a sub-specialty interest in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Dr Patten was born in Charters Towers and raised in Brisbane. He has undertaken extensive training both locally and in the UK.
