Dr French is Director of Queensland Geriatric Medicine Group. Dr French sees outpatients at the QGMG rooms at Suite 19, Greenslopes Specialist Centre, and he also sees inpatients at Greenslopes as well as Brisbane Private Hospital. Dr French s areas of interest are in Rehabilitation of the older person, Orthogeriatrics and perioperative management of the older patient. Dr French is also interested in the maintenance of function and wellbeing toward healthy ageing for those people whose medical issues may be impinging on their future independence and function. Dr French has significant involvement in Physician education including being an examiner with the RACP. He is also a Senior Lecturer and Examiner at the School of Medicine, University of Queensland, having been involved in medical student teaching and examinations for over 15 years. Professional activities include membership of the ANZSGM Federal Council and Queensland ANZSGM Committee, Medical Advisory Council at GPH, Credentialing committee GPH, Chair of the Medical Education Committee at GPH, Chair of the Medication Safety Committee at BPH as well as membership of the Patient Care Review Committee at BPH.
