Dr Klose completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Queensland where he was awarded First-Class Honours for his research applying next-generation genetic testing to the diagnosis and treatment of bone marrow disorders.

He undertook Physician Training at Mater Hospital Brisbane, gaining experience in a broad range of specialties from Intensive Care to Obstetric Medicine, and was awarded the Royal Australasian College of Physicians Trainee Research Excellence Award for his investigation into the causes of abnormal platelet counts.

His Advanced Training in Haematology was completed at Greenslopes Private Hospital and the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital where he developed expertise in the diagnosis and management of leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma, as well as non-malignant haematology such as disorders of bleeding and thrombosis. He is experienced with the application of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, novel small molecule inhibitors (including chemotherapy-free treatments) and cellular therapies including bone marrow transplantation and CAR-T cell therapy.

As a dual-qualified clinical and laboratory haematologist, Dr Klose also continues to work behind the microscope to ensure his patients receive precise and timely diagnoses. He also knows that providing world-class, quality care takes a team, and he leverages his relationships with local and international multidisciplinary experts to access clinical trials and novel therapies.
