Dr Franklin obtained his medical degree in 1992 from the University of Queensland, training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and The Prince Charles Hospital before being admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2000.
He began private practice at the John Flynn Private Hospital in 2001, initially dividing his time with part-time training in Stress Echocardiography at the Princess Alexandra Hospital under the guidance of Professor Thomas Marwick, a world-renowned leader in the field of echocardiography.
He has served in clinical advisory positions at the John Flynn Private Hospital, as Chair of the Cardiac Services Department, and as Chair of the Medical Advisory and Credentialing Committees. He is active in teaching Bond University medical students, and hosts a monthly clinical case-discussion forum for cardiology trainees and consultants.
Non-invasive cardiac investigations, especially stress echocardiography; heart failure; heart rhythm disorders; and amateur astrophotography.
Dr Kevin Franklin is continuing to support you and your practice with the same freindly, reliable, and professional service that you have come to expect, and hope that you and your patients will benefit from the continuity of care that our ongoing commitment provides.
We will be providing Telehealth consultations options for the most vulnerable of your patients and offer advice to you by phone as usual for any questions or concerns you may have. The setup of our waiting areas, consulting offices and procedural rooms are consistent with infection control and physical distancing guidelines, and we will continue to work to maintain a high standard of risk reduction as the current situation evolves in the coming months.
