Dr Michael Ghusn is a general surgeon working in the Tweed and Gold Coast Region since 2003. Born and raised in Mackay in North Queensland, Dr Ghusn attended the University of Queensland where he gained his medical degree.

Dr Ghusn completed his internship at the (old) Gold Coast Hospital in 1993. He returned to Brisbane for surgical training based at the Royal Brisbane Hospital and rotated through many hospitals in Brisbane and regional Queensland. ?

At the completion of his surgical training, Dr Ghusn travelled to the UK along with his wife (Danielle and eldest child), spending 2 years gaining further surgical experience in General and Upper GI surgery. Dr Ghusn returned to Brisbane in 2003 for further post fellowship experience before accepting a VMO position at the Tweed Hospital and setting up a private practice at the Southern Gold Coast in August 2003.
