Dr Meera Thalayasingam started at JHC in August 2017 as a general paediatrician, allergist and clinical immunologist. Her clinical practice involves all areas of paediatrics with a focus on allergies  (airway, drug, food, insect and skin), anaphylaxis, immunotherapy and immunodeficiency.

Meera comes to JHC from Ramsay Sime Darby Healthcare Malaysia where she worked as a Consultant Paediatrician, Immunologist and Allergist (Adult and Paediatric).

Meera graduated from the National University of Ireland and undertook her paediatric training at Kuala Lumpur General Hospital (Malaysia) and Princess Margaret Hospital (Perth).
She received her membership with the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health United Kingdom in 2002 before obtaining a Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2008.

Meera’s training in Allergy and Immunology was undertaken between 2011 and 2013 at the National University Hospital (Singapore).

She went on to complete her fellowship training at Fremantle Hospital and Health Services and PMH in 2014. In doing so she obtained her specialist recognition in Australia as a Clinical Immunologist and Allergist.

Meera is an active member of the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy, the Malaysian Society of Allergy and Immunology and continues to be involved in education and research activities. In addition she has a user friendly website “ www.allergymedik.com “ which patients, parents and general practitioners can access.
