Dr Barry Slon is an Anaesthetist and Pain Medicine Physician with more than 20 years’experience treating patients. Dr Slon manages patients with complex pain conditions related to surgery or trauma, cancer, medical illness, chronic musculoskeletal problems, substance abuse and behavioural issues. Adopting a comprehensive approach to pain medicine, Barry’s treatment plans focus on both the primary pain concerns of the patient as well as their overall well-being, taking into account that co-morbidity may be a factor in their health concerns.

Dr Slon studied and trained in Australia and overseas. He is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists as well as the Faculty of Pain Medicine. He has established a successful Private Practice and has worked widely throughout Melbourne’s hospital network with extensive experience in most branches of anaesthesia.

Dr Barry Slon is now operating at Linacre Private Hospital & Ramsay Surgical Centre Glenferrie.  He is also available to co-manage patients on the wards and after discharge. He is accessible for urgent reviews and welcomes direct calls from GPs and specialists for advice.
