Dr Rebecca Kozor is a consultant cardiologist with further training in cardiac imaging (cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR), cardiac CT and echocardiography).
Dr Kozor completed her medical degree at the University of New South Wales, cardiology specialty training at Royal North Shore Hospital, and a CMR clinical research fellowship at Barts Heart Centre, London, UK. She was awarded her PhD at the University of Sydney.
Dr Kozor is an active cardiovascular researcher and associate professor at the University of Sydney, where she co-directs the USyd CMR Research Group. She has many publications in leading peer reviewed scientific journals, and has been awarded major grants to continue her research.
Dr Kozor is also actively involved in education and advocacy of CMR and cardiovascular research: she is Vice President of the Australia New Zealand CMR Working Group; co-organiser of CMR Australia meetings; an Associate Editor of Cases of SCMR; member of Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand Scientific Committee; former Board Director of Heart Research Australia.
Dr Kozor practices at North Shore Private Hospital, Royal North Shore Hospital, and in private practice at Mosman Cardiology.
