Dr Douglas Samuel is interested in digestive and liver diseases and GI endoscopy including gastroscopy, colonoscopy and balloon-assisted enteroscopy. He is also interested in Crohn's and Colitis and bowel cancer prevention. He teaches at Sydney University and is active in research into the early diagnosis of colorectal cancer and novel treatments of Crohn's and ulcerative colitis.
