Dr Philip Bergersen is a specialist Urologist who practices on the North Shore of Sydney. He has a private practice based in Chatswood and Hornsby. His hospital appointments include Sydney Adventist, North Shore Private, The Mater, and Hornsby Ku-ringai Hospitals.

Dr  Bergersen graduated from Adelaide University in 1981 and then completed  his  residency in Sydney. He gained his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (Urology)  in 1990, and  then undertook a post-graduate  fellowship at the University of Nijmegen, The Netherlands. He subsequently returned to Sydney to commence private practice on the Sydney’s north shore in 1992 .

He was the former head of Urology at the SAN. He is head of the section of Urology at Hornsby and is supervisor of Urology registrar training. He is on the Quality Control Review Committee at the SAN and participates in the Multi-disciplinary Cancer Meeting. He is a published Author and presenter at international meetings and continues his professional development by regular attendance at local and international meetings.

As well as general urology he has interests in uro-oncology, robotic surgery, laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery,laser surgery, brachytherapy, stone disease and benign prostate disease.
