Dr Joanne Dale is a locally trained General Surgeon with an interest in colorectal surgery, operating and consulting at North West Private Hospital. Dr Joanne Dale is a locally trained General Surgeon, operating and consulting at North West Private Hospital. Dr Dale completed her Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) Fellowship in General Surgery in Queensland in 2009. Dr Dale obtained Conjoint Committee accreditation for colonoscopy in 2009. Following this, she completed a further three years in post Fellowship Colorectal Surgery training. These full-time training positions included one year each at the Gold Coast University Hospital, Flinders Medical Centre, Adelaide and the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane.
Since 2011 Dr Dale has been a Consultant in Colorectal and General Surgery at the Mater Hospital Brisbane, Mater Private Hospital and Mater Mothers Hospital, treating both public and private patients. In 2019, Dr Dale was appointed as a Senior Surgeon and she has been the most experienced Colorectal Surgeon at the Mater since 2017.
Dr Dale has an interest in providing holistic care. She is an advocate for Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) programs. Dr Dale aims to tailor patient treatment to the individual, to ensure that all patient concerns are addressed, and the best outcomes are achieved.
