After completing his basic surgical training with honours in India, Sithi undertook higher surgical training in the United Kingdom. He was trained under several prominent surgeons, including Prof. Zyg Krukowski in Aberdeen and also at the Minimal Access Surgery Training Unit in Liverpool. After 10 years in the UK and obtaining the Intercollegiate Specialty Board Fellowship, he migrated to Australia with his young family. He also obtained the Australian Fellowship and has enjoyed working in the Shoalhaven over the past 12 years.
He offers advanced procedures like endoscopic mucosal resections and laparoscopic bowel resections. He also specialises in breast cancer surgery and is an active member of the Shoalhaven Multi-disciplinary Oncology Team. Over the past several years he has made presentations of his Shoalhaven work in several international conferences - in Yokohama, Beijing, Kuala Lumpur and Auckland. Above all, he relishes the day-to-day interaction and connection with the people of the Shoalhaven.
He enjoys photography and the Shoalhaven offers a wonderful opportunity for that passion. He has also taken up learning Cello, though late, and is thoroughly enjoying it.
