Dr Hislop Graduated the University of Western Australia in 1995.
He holds dual fellowships with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the College of Intensive Care Medicine.
After completing his basic physician training at Royal Perth Hospital in 1999, Dr Hislop moved to Sydney and completed his advanced training in intensive care medicine at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital during which time he spent 12 months completing an echocardiography fellowship at Nepean Hospital (2007).
He spent the next ten years working as a consultant intensivist at RPA with appointments also at the Mater Hospital North Sydney, Mona Vale, Manly and Ryde Hospitals and Chris O’Brien Lifehouse. Dr Hislop was the director of Intensive Care at the Mater Hospital 2012-2018.
Since moving to the Mid-North coast in 2017, Dr Hislop has enjoyed practicing as both an intensivist and a general physician.
Clinical Interests include critical illness, complex medicine and multi-system pathologies, perioperative medicine and medical pharmacology.
