Dr Jacob has a special interest in advanced endoscopic procedures including ERCP’s, luminal stenting, stricture dilatations, advanced colonoscopy including removal of large polyps by Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR), advanced gastroscopy and other interventional procedures.

He has active interests in various aspects of gastroenterology, including the management of liver and pancreato-biliary disorders, colorectal cancer screening and management of irritable bowel syndrome and inflammatory bowel disease.

Dr Jacob obtained his primary medical qualification in 2003.  He undertook part of his general medical training in the United Kingdom and obtained MRCP in 2007. He undertook his Gastroenterology training in Australia between the Royal Hobart Hospital, Western Health and Austin Health. He has completed two years of fellowship in Advanced Endoscopy at Austin Health. He is a member of the Gastroenterology Society of Australia (GESA) and Australian Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Association (AGEA).

He consults and operates at Shepparton Private Hospital on a monthly basis.
