Mr Senthil Rengasamy is an Australian-trained Orthopaedic Surgeon. He has worked as a surgeon at Redcliffe Hospital, Brisbane QLD. He undertook his initial few years of unaccredited orthopaedic training in Townsville Hospital, then Ipswich Hospital in 2009-10. He was accepted to the AOA QLD training scheme in 2010, and commenced his orthopaedic training in 2011. This training was initially at the Redcliffe Hospital, followed by rotations in other teaching hospitals, including arthroplasty rotations at Prince Charles and QEII Jubilee Hospitals, paediatric rotations at Mater Children's Hospital, with successful completion of his fellowship in 2016.
Senthil's early years of medical training involved obtained his bachelor degree (MBBS) with distinction from the Madras Medical College in 2000, followed by his Masters in Orthopaedics at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, India in 2004.
In addition to his private practice at Shepparton Private Hospital, Senthil is the Clinical Director/Head of Unit in Orthopaedics at Goulburn Valley Health in Shepparton. He also visits Echuca on a monthly basis and consults and operates at Echuca Regional Health. Senthil is now offering an anterior approach for hip replacements.
