Professor Tripathi is a senior Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon consulting and operatijng at St Andrew's Ipswich Private Hosptial
He completed his General Surgical Training and obtained FRCS from Edinburgh, Scotland. In Australia, he trained in Vascular Surgery at the Royal Perth Hospital, Perth that culminated in FRACS in Vascular Surgery in 2005.
Prof Tripathi brings over 20 years of internationally recognised and awarded vascular expertise in the treatments of Aortic Aneurysms, Carotid Artery Disease, Peripheral Arterial Occlusive Disease and Venous Disorders including leg swelling and chronic leg ulcers.
He is an A/Professor of Surgery at University of Queensland and an Adjunct Professor at University of the Sunshine Coast, Australia.
His work has been internationally recognised by many awards including Distinguished Fellow of Society for Vascular Surgery (USA), Honorary Member of European Venous Forum, Asterios Katsamouris Lecture by the European Society for Cardiovascular Surgery. He was inducted into Sigma Xi Honors Research Society in 2017.
Prof Tripathi’s academic recognition includes distinguished visiting Professorships to Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery of Stanford University, Palo Alto, California, USA and Mayo Clinic and Mayo School of Medicine, Rochester, USA and Karolinska University Hospitals, Stockholm, Sweden
Prof Tripathi is a surgeon scientist by training and focuses most of his clinical research in treatments for venous ulceration of lower extremities, thrombotic lesions of thoracic and abdominal aorta and aortic aneurysms.Prof Tripathi embraces evidence based, holistic and minimally invasive approach to patient management and has an active research focus with
