Dr Norbert Doeuk is a Urologist with extensive experience in the field of advanced minimally invasive robotic and laparoscopic surgery for the treatment of cancer and other general urological conditions. Dr Doeuk graduated from the University of Queensland, and also completed a Masters of Surgery (Urology) at the University of Sydney.
Dr Doeuk is a Visiting Medical Specialist (VMO) at St George Private Hospital, The Chris O’Brien Lifehouse and The Mater Private Hospital.
Dr Doeuk is one of a few urologists in Sydney with a full dedicated overseas robotic uro-oncology Fellowship. He was awarded a travel grant and further sponsorship and was selected to undertake extensive training at the prestigious Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London, the highest volume robotic centre in the UK and the first and only Robotic Surgery Institute in the UK formally recognised by the Vattikuti Foundation. While in London Dr Doeuk performed the first partial nephrectomy on the latest robotic platform (da Vinci Xi) in the UK and has been involved in over 500 robotic cases so far, the majority being prostate operations, but also including bladder and kidney surgery.
Dr Doeuk was invited to perform prostate cancer surgery broadcasted live around the globe at the World Robotic Surgical Event 2015 and is now closely involved in the education and training of new robotic surgeons at a national level.
Dr Doeuk has numerous publications in peer reviewed journals, has written a book chapter on robotic surgery and small renal masses and has presented multiple times internationally. He has received the John Loewenthal Medal for his research on kidney cancer and is also regularly invited to peer review other publications.
Dr Doeuk is a full Member of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand, the Australian Medical Association and the European Association of Urology.
