Allow me to introduce myself, my name is I-Ferne Tan. I’m an obstetrician and gynaecologists with a focus on fertility and reproductive medicine based in Lindfield (North Shore) and Bella Vista (Norwest). Originally from Melbourne, I completed my FRANZCOG training in Australia, followed by a Masters of Reproducive Medicine (UNSW), before going to Singapore for additional training in minimally invasive endosurgery with a focus on advanced laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. Combining my training in fertility medicine and laparoscopic surgery allows me to approach a woman/couple from different perspectives, deliver a wider range of treatment op;ons, and offer truly comprehensive and individualised treatment.

• Awake hysteroscopy (both diagnostic and operative): The benefits of awake hysteroscopy include: lower complication rate, lower cost (no anaesthetist required, no hospital admission), quicker recovery time, no restrictions on driving or working after the procedure, and patient preference.
•  “See and treat” management of uterine pathology such as polyps, submucosal fibroids, intrauterine adhesions, and uterine septums
• Reproductive microsurgery:  Laparoscopic reversal of tubal ligations, tubal recannalisation, vasectomy reversal, microsurgical sperm extraction for IVF.

I am happy to see patients for face-to-face, telehealth, and phone consultations. My team will endeavour to minimise waiting times for new consults, with most new patients being seen within 4 weeks, but please let us know if they need to be seen more urgently.
