Dr Laura Wang obtained her BS(Med) MBBS, (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, Bachelor of Science Medicine) from the University of New South Wales in 2008. She completed her General Surgical training at Liverpool Hospital, Campbelltown Hospital, Prince Alfred Hospital, Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, Auburn hospital, as well as multiple regional centers. As a junior registrar she developed a keen interest in Endocrine, Head and Neck surgery.

After becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2018, she was selected for dual fellowships in Head and Neck Oncology and Microvascular reconstruction at the internationally renowned Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. During these two intensive fellowships, she further honed her operative and clinical expertise in treating tumors of the Head and Neck.

Dr Wang is a leader in her field with over 30 peer reviewed publications in the area of Head and Neck oncology. She holds a PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) on thyroid cancer prognosis and management. She regularly speaks at national and international conferences and is currently a senior lecturer at the University of Sydney.
