Dr Nari Ahmadi is a consultant Urologist with interests in robotic surgery - urological cancers and minimally invasive surgery.
Dr Ahmadi obtained his medical degree from the UNSW and his Masters of Surgery at the University of Sydney. Following completion of his urological training and his fellowship at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, he undertook a further two-year fellowship in ‘Advanced Robotic and Laparoscopic Urological Oncology’ in Los Angeles, under mentorship of Professor Inderbir Gill and his colleagues at the University of Southern California, a distinguished and pioneering centre in urological oncology and minimally invasive surgery.
Dr Ahmadi is one of Australia’s leading robotic surgeons with experience in over 1,500 robotic surgery cases. He provides mentorship and training for Australian surgeons wishing to embark on robotic surgery and he is a Da Vinci accredited robotic proctor. He has presented extensively in national and international conferences and has authored multiple book chapters in urology and extensive publications in peer reviewed urological journals. He is actively involved in collaborative national and international research projects in urological cancers and robotic surgery.
Dr Ahmadi consults in Burwood, Newtown and North Sydney and holds VMO appointments in Strathfield Private Hospital, Chris O’Brien Lifehouse and Mater Hospital.
