Waverley Private Hospital would like to introduce you to Mr Lim, Colorectal Surgeon.
Education and Training
Mr Lim attended Caulfield Grammar School where he was a recipient of the Monash Prize and was a CGS Scholar. He graduated with Honours from Monash University and was awarded the Nairn Medal in Pathology.
He subsequently completed General Surgical training at Monash Health and developed a keen interest in Colorectal Surgery, working closely with Professor Bruce Waxman and co-authoring a surgical textbook chapter with Professor Bruce Waxman.
Mr Lim obtained Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2010 and subsequently undertook a Colorectal Research Fellowship at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, focussing on Sacral Nerve Stimulation for Faecal Incontinence
and 3D Endoanal Ultrasound.
He undertook a further two years of training with the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSSANZ) in high-volume colorectal units at Westmead Hospital (NSW) and Box Hill Hospital (VIC) – specialising in laparoscopic colorectal surgery for colorectal cancer, diverticular disease, inflammatory bowel disease and rectal prolapse.
Mr Lim performs 3D endoanal ultrasound, anal manometry, colonoscopy and has experience in a spectrum of common to complex anorectal procedures such as anal sphincter repair and perineal reconstruction.
