Waverley Private Hospital would like to introduce Mr Nathan Hayward. Nathan is an Otolaryngologist (ENT) – Head and Neck Surgeon and Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS). Nathan has commenced consulting in Clayton alongside Mr Doug Buchanan. He sees and treats all ear, nose and throat conditions in adults and childrens

In addition to his comprehensive ENT surgical training, Nathan has completed further sub-speciality training in the surgical management of obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA), Snoring and sleep disordered breathing (SDB) in adults and children. He is one of very few surgeons in Australia who has undertaken post-Fellowship training in sleep surgery. He has been a visiting/observing surgeon at major sleep surgery clinics in the United States and has been an invited speaker at international and national meetings focusing on sleep surgery. He is committed to advancing sleep surgery through innovation and research. He sees and treats all sleep breathing disorders – from the snoring and restless little one; to the tired, gasping and struggling adult.

Nathan understands the importance of providing detailed information when treating his patients, and listening to their questions and concerns. Having a young family himself, he understands the anxiety of a child having surgery and will take the time to guide parents through the process.

Nathan holds a public hospital appointment Monash Health as a Consultant Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgeon and is committed to the education and guidance of training junior doctors and surgeons.
