Waverley Private Hospital would like to introduce Dr Felix Sim an oral and maxillofacial surgeon managing problems involving the face, neck and jaws. These include removal of third molars (wisdom teeth), complex extractions, orthodontic exposure of teeth, placement of dental and zygomatic implants, grafting procedures, orthognathic surgery and management of oral pathology and facial trauma. Felix also has an interest in oral cancer and reconstructive surgery of the jaws using microvascular free tissue transfer.

Felix obtained his undergraduate dental qualification at the University of Sydney and medical degree at the University of Melbourne. He completed his specialist training in 2015, leading to the specialist qualification FRACDS (OMS). Following completion of his specialty training, Felix was selected to a two-year highly competitive sub-specialty training in head and neck oncology and microvascular reconstruction at the Head and Neck Institute in Portland, Oregon, USA.

Felix has public hospital appointments at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, Monash Hospital and Geelong Hospital as part of the Head and Neck Multidisciplinary Units. He is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Australian & New Zealand Head and Neck Cancer Society.
