Dr Moghadam is a General Surgeon with an interest in Endocrine, Head & Neck and Surgical Oncology. He completed his surgical training at multiple teaching hospitals including Canberra, Nepean and Westmead Hospitals. He became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in General Surgery in 2020. Dr Ali was selected for post- fellowship training between 2020 and 2023 at Westmead and Liverpool Hospitals. During this time, he further enhanced his surgical and clinical skills in the management of endocrine, head & neck, melanoma and non-melanoma cancers.
Dr Ali is dedicated to undertaking medical research. He has received Brendan Dooley/Gordon Trinca Trauma Research Scholarship by RACS ANZ Scholarship and Grant committee for his research project to assess the feasibility of Mixed Reality in Surgical Stabilisation of Rib Fractures (SSRF). Dr Ali has presented internationally and has published in peer review journals.
Dr Ali is actively involved in teaching. He is a tutor at the University of Sydney Westmead Clinical School. He is an instructor of the Management of Surgical Emergencies (MoSES) and the Care of the Critically Ill Surgical Patient (CCrISP) courses.
Dr Ali has several professional affiliations: ANZ Head and Neck Cancer Society (ANZHNCS), ANZ Endocrine Surgeons (ANZES), Australian and New Zealand Association for the Surgery of Trauma (ANZAST), Chest Wall Injury Society (CWIS) and General Surgeons Australia (GSA).
He has consistently been endorsed by his colleagues and the patients for the high standard of care and communication that he provides in his practice.
