Dr Andrew Sefton is an Australian trained orthopaedic surgeon. He holds fellowships with the Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA) and the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (RACS).
Andrew enjoys all aspects of orthopaedic surgery and has a passion for getting people back to the activities they love doing. In particular, he enjoys and has extensive training and experience in lower limb operations and orthopaedic trauma more generally. He is a patient-centred, thorough and compassionate surgeon.
Andrew has completed additional sub-specialty training to further develop his skills. He completed a lower limb arthroplasty (joint replacement) fellowship at McMasters University in North America where he refined his skills in hip arthroplasty, knee arthroplasty and revision arthroplasty. He also completed a trauma and arthroplasty fellowship at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney where he augmented his skills in more challenging orthopaedic traumas including pelvic reconstruction, non union, bone loss, malunion and deformity correction.
Andrew practises in both Sydney and the Dubbo/Central West region and he enjoys the mix of rural and urban orthopaedics. He grew up in the Central West of NSW and is grateful that he is able to provide a service for the region.
