Dr Steven Craig is a general surgeon, with interests in endocrine surgery and surgical oncology.
He completed a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Wollongong in 2004, then graduated from the University of Sydney Medical School with a Bachelor of Medicine/ Bachelor of Surgery with honours in 2008.
After undertaking his internship and residency with Illawarra–Shoalhaven Local Health District, he completed a Master of Surgery from the University of Sydney. In 2017, he was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in general surgery.
In 2018, Dr Craig was accepted into the prestigious American Association of Endocrine Surgeons' fellowship training program at the University of Calgary, Canada. Here, he completed further training in endocrine surgery and surgical oncology, as well as research work in the field of thyroid malignancy.
This broad education and training has provided Dr Craig with the credentials and experience to see and treat a wide variety of patients and surgical conditions.
Dr Craig is available to see patients at his Nowra or Milton locations, operating at Wollongong Private Hospital, Nowra Private Hospital, Wollongong Hopsital and Shoalhaven District Memorial Hospital.
