Relay for Life
26 staff from St Andrew’s Ipswich braved chilly conditions to
raise more than $3,500 during the 2018 Ipswich Relay for Life.
They laced up their shoes to walk during the night to fundraise for the
Cancer Council.
Amy O’Loughlin, Executive Assistant, played a stellar role in the team’s
fundraising efforts for the event.
Their major raffle prize, which included return airfares, two nights’
accommodation and a tour of the Sydney Roosters’ headquarters, was
generously donated by the Sydney Roosters, Journey Masters Travel and
The Pullman Hyde Park Hotel.
Local resident and Master Chef contestant, Ben Ungermann, provided
prizes including a cooking class and vouchers for tasting plates at his ice
creamery, Ungermann Brothers Ice Cream.

win excellence awards
Two Ramsay nurses have been recognised at the WA Nursing and
Midwifery Excellence Awards.
Emma Arnold, who started at Hollywood Private Hospital as a graduate nurse 15 years
ago, won the Excellence in Education and Research award.
“I’m extremely honoured to receive this award, especially with the knowledge that
there are so many deserving, amazing nurses in our industry,” Ms Arnold said.
Amber Murphy, from Joondalup Health Campus, took out the Graduate Nurse of the
Year award.
The 25-year-old has been working in the role of scrub nurse at the hospital for the
duration of her employment but has moved between specialties.
A total of 11 Western Australian nurses and midwives were honoured at the event.
