CHRETIEN
has joined Ramsay Health Care
as the Group Chief Strategy
Officer, reporting to Chief
Executive Officer Craig McNally
as part of the Global Executive
Committee. In this role, Olivier
has responsibility for Group
Strategy including business
development and innovation as
well as the Pharmacy business.
Olivier brings strong corporate
strategy and business
development experience from
his time as a senior executive
at Wesfarmers over the past 12
years. He also has experience
with Boston Consulting Group
within their health care practice
in France and Australia.
Olivier is a senior executive
with a strong track record of
delivering results and a passion
for transforming and growing
businesses of scale while
developing great talent.
ANDREW
WEARNE
has been appointed as Head
of Internal Audit following
the retirement of Neil Wykes.
Andrew is a senior executive
with over 20 years’ corporate
governance experience in ASX
top 30 companies in Europe,
Asia and the South Pacific
regions.
Most recently with Coca-Cola
Amatil as Chief Risk Officer,
Andrew held a strategic role
responsible for corporate
governance across all
operations in Australia, New
Zealand, Indonesia, Papua
New Guinea & Fiji. Prior to that,
Andrew was the Global Head of
Risk for Goodman Group.
ROBYN
ABRAHAM
has been appointed as the
Director of Clinical Services
at Hillcrest Private Hospital in
Rockhampton, Queensland.
Robyn is a Rockhampton
local with a broad nursing
background; she has been part
of the Ramsay Health Care
team for 19 years, primarily in
management positons.
OSMAN AHMED
has been appointed as the
Finance and Administration
Manager at Dudley Private
Hospital in Orange, after a short
time acting in the role.
Osman began his new
position on 21 July 2018,
having previously worked as
an accountant at North Shore
Private Hospital since 2011. He
joined the Ramsay Health Care
team in April 2009, working at
Westmead Private Hospital.
Osman has a Bachelor
of Business, Majoring in
Accounting and has just
completed his CPA.
BEN AVERY
has been appointed as the
Commercial Manager at
Baringa Private Hospital in
Coffs Harbour. He has most
recently been the hospital’s
Acting Commercial Manager
and was previously the Finance
Manager of Dudley Private
Hospital in Orange.
Prior to joining Ramsay
Health Care in 2015, Ben had
experience with managing
a busy specialist medical
practice. Ben has a Bachelor of
Commerce and a Bachelor of
Business from the University of
Newcastle and is a Graduate
of the Australian Institute of
Company Directors.
JO BROWN
has been appointed as Director
of Clinical Services at Baringa
Private Hospital in Coffs
Harbour.
Jo has had a great career at
Baringa over the past 23 years
- first as a Registered Nurse,
then as Educator, Nurse Unit
Manager, Quality Manager
and Deputy Director of Clinical
Services. Last year, Jo was
appointed as interim Director
of Clinical Services, and also
completed the Ramsay Health
Care Leadership Program.
PRUDENCE
BUIST
has been appointed as the
Director of Clinical Services
at St George Private Hospital.
Prue has recently been on
secondment to Orange as the
Acting CEO/DCS of Dudley
Private; prior to this, Prue was
the Director of Clinical Services
at Wollongong Private.
Prue has held previous DCS roles
within other private organisations
including Calvary in Wagga Wagga
and Southern Cross Hospital
in Wellington, New Zealand.
These roles have enabled Prue
to develop into a strong clinical
leader, motivating teams through
times of organisational growth and
change.
MELEA CHARLES
has been appointed as the
Director Of Clinical Services
at Lake Macquarie Private
Hospital. Melea has a broad
nursing background, having
worked across the Hunter
Local Health District in several
positions at both the John
Hunter and Belmont hospitals.
Melea has been a Nurse Unit
Manager, After Hours Manager,
Acting Deputy Director of
Nursing and, most recently, a
Project Manager for the Local
Health District where she
supported management staff
experiencing a deficit in their
performance.
Melea has a Bachelor of
Nursing degree with a
Graduate Certificate in
Business, Graduate Certificate
in Child and Family Health
Nursing, Graduate Certificate in
Neonatal Intensive Care and is
currently completing a Bachelor
of Laws.

GRANT
FRECKLINGTON
has been appointed as the
Chief Executive Officer of
Castlecrag and Hunters Hill,
following the success of
Heidi Bayliss moving to the
Innovation Hub. Grant has been
the CEO/DCS of Dudley Private
in Orange for the past three
years; prior to this, he was the
Director of Clinical Services at
Strathfield Private.
Grant began his new role
on 3 September 2018 and
will be closely involved with
developing strategies to
strengthen Ramsay’s success
on the North Shore of Sydney.
LEAH
GABOLINSCY
has been appointed as the
new Chief Executive Officer
of Lake Macquarie Private.
Leah is a Newcastle resident
with a strong history of senior
executive management
experience. In her most
recent role, as the Executive
General Manager – Operations
at Broadspectrum, Leah
was responsible for a $600
million budget overseeing
3,000 employees and
contractors. Prior to working
with Broadspectrum, Leah
was Associate Director of
Infrastructure Operations at the
University of Newcastle.
Leah has a Bachelor of Applied
Management from Ballarat
University and is a Graduate
of the Australian Institute of
Company Directors, as well as
a participant of the 2015 Chief
Executive Women Leadership
Program and a mentor in the
Hunter Business Leadership
Program.
With extensive commercial
management experience
dealing with complex
organisations, Leah is perfectly
positioned for the CEO role at
Lake Macquarie Private which is
entering a new exciting phase
of development.
LEAH
HAMMOND
has been appointed as the
Director of Clinical Services at
Northside Group St Leonards
Clinic.
Leah has been part of the
Northside Group since joining
as a Registered Nurse in 2002.
Since then, Leah has worked as
Nurse Unit Manager, Assistant
Director of Clinical Services and
Director of Clinical Services
across three of the four
facilities, and also completed
Ramsay’s Future Leaders
Program in 2012.
Leah was acting in this DCS
role since April 2018 and did an
outstanding job managing KPIs,
staff engagement and VMO
relationships.
FIONA HEBBARD
has been appointed to the
position of Chief Executive
Officer / Commercial Manager
at Hillcrest Rockhampton
Private Hospital, following the
transfer of Tracey Squires to
Caboolture.
Fiona was previously the
Commercial Manager at
Hillcrest and, together with
Tracey Squires, helped to
manage the facility since
commencing in September
2000.
As a Rockhampton resident,
Fiona is dedicated to her
community and the success
of the hospital. Fiona is well
respected by the Rockhampton
VMO community who are fully
supportive of her appointment
as CEO.
VICKY
JOHNSTON
has been appointed as the
Commercial Manager of
Ramsay Cairns. Vicky is a
Cairns local and brings with
her a wealth of experience in
financial and operational roles
in the health industry.
Vicky has recently been the
Chief Financial Officer of the
North Queensland Primary
Healthcare Network and earlier
in her career held finance
manager and general manager
roles with Holy Spirit Care
Services in Cairns. Vicky is
a chartered accountant who
trained with Price Waterhouse
Coopers.
LOUISA
MARSHALL
has been appointed to the
role of CEO of the Albury
region which includes Albury
Wodonga Private, Murray Valley
Private, and The Border Cancer
Hospitals.
Louisa has been part of the
Ramsay group for the past
10 years, in a variety of roles
including leading an acute
medical surgical facility as a
CEO and Director of Clinical
Services . Most recently Louisa
has been the Contract Manager
at Sunshine Coast University
hospital, a 171 bed hospital
offering a comprehensive
range of inpatient and day
services across a wide range of
specialties.
Louisa’s breadth and depth
of experience positions
her strongly to lead Albury
region and we look forward to
welcoming her to the CEO role
in September 2018.
SHANE
MITCHELL
has been appointed to the
position of Chief Executive
Officer at The Noosa Hospital.
Shane was previously the CEO
of Cairns Private Hospital,
Cairns Day Surgery and The
Cairns Clinic. Prior to that,
Shane resided on the Sunshine
Coast as CEO / DCS of
Nambour Selangor Private.
During his time in Cairns,
Shane he has overseen the
development of the new wing
of 56 surgical and orthopaedics
beds, and the refurbishment
of various ward areas of the
hospital. The rehabilitation
service grew considerably
under his leadership, and he
successfully commissioned a
Da Vinci robot service.
MELLISSA
NAIDOO
has been appointed to the
position of Director of Medical
Services at Greenslopes
Private Hospital. Mellissa
comes to Ramsay Health
Care with experience in
medical executive and clinical
governance roles in both
the private and public health
sectors.
Mellissa was most recently the
Deputy Executive Director of
Clinical Governance, Education
& Research at Gold Coast
Health. Prior to this, Melissa
held a number of roles with
UnitingCare Health including
Director of Medical Services
at the Wesley Hospital and
St Andrew’s War Memorial
Hospital, as well public
appointments as Deputy
Director of Medical Services
at Lady Cilento Children’s
Hospital, and Deputy Director
of Medical Services at the Royal
Children’s Hospital.
Mellissa has expertise in junior
medical workforce planning
and management and an
ongoing commitment to clinical
training, medical education and
research. Mellissa currently
holds positions with the
Australian Medical Association
Qld (as a Board Director), Board
of Education, Royal Australasian
College of Surgeons and
Prevocational Accreditation
Standards Committee,
Australian Medical Council.
MARK PAGE
has been appointed as the new
CEO for Pindara, The Southport
Private Hospital, Short Street
Day Surgery and Pindara Day
Procedure Centre.
Mark recently returned to
Australia having spent 3 years
as the CEO of Ramsay Health
Care UK. Prior to that, he
was the CEO of Greenslopes
Private, Cairns Private and
Frances Perry House. He will
commence at Pindara on 3
October 2018.
EMMA PROSSER
has been appointed as the
Regional Director of Clinical
Services of the Albury
Region which includes Albury
Wodonga Private, Murray Valley
Private, and The Border Cancer
Hospitals.
Emma has been in the Albury
region since October 2017
when she was seconded to
the role of DCS of The Border
Cancer Hospital. Emma joined
Ramsay in 2013 as the ADCS
at Sunshine Coast University
Private and completed the
Ramsay Leadership Program
in 2017.
Emma has shown great
commitment to the organisation
covering the role of Acting CEO
since April this year following
Melanie Gates’ secondment to
the PMO and we look forward
to her becoming a permanent
member of the Albury team.
BEN TOOTH
has been appointed as the
Chief Executive Officer of
Cairns Private Hospital, Cairns
Day Surgery and The Cairns
Clinic. Ben joined Ramsay
two and a half years ago as
Commercial Manager in Cairns
and brought with him senior
management experience
across a variety of industries,
including healthcare.
He has been instrumental in
securing key public agreements
for surgery including a joint
venture for robotic surgery, and
supporting the introduction
of the initial KYM program
in Cairns. Ben has been an
influential member of the
executive team in Cairns
during a time of significant
rehabilitation service growth
and the finalisation of the
recent bed development.
During the delivery of these
projects, Ben has developed
strong relationships with staff,
accredited VMOs and other
onsite service providers.
Ben has strong ties to the
community and holds various
board positions with Regional
Development Australia FNQTS,
North Queensland Primary
Healthcare Network and the
Cairns Penny Bank.
