The Ramsay Way - 2015 | 02 5 Gerontology-Psychiatric Unit opens at Clinique de l’Escrebieux CLINIQUE DE L’ESCREBIEUX IN ESQUERCHIN, NORTH OF FRANCE, WILL SHORTLY WELCOME 20 NEW PATIENTS TO ITS NEW SPECIALISED GERONTOLOGY-PSYCHIATRIC UNIT FOLLOWING 12 MONTHS OF DEVELOPMENT. Since opening, in December 1997, Clinique de l’Escrebieux, has provided complete care for adult psychiatric disorders, specializing in mood disorders and anxiety disorders. In February 2012, acknowledging the lack of adequate facilities of psychiatric care for elderly, the lack of caregivers trained in that specific psychiatric care, but also the insufficient involvement of psychiatry in the gerontology networks, Clinique de l’Escrebieux and its medical teams, supported by the Agence Régional de Santé North-Pas-de-Calais (the Regional Health Agency for North of France), decided to create a special unit for Gerontology-Psychiatry. Today, Clinique de l’Escrbieux has made great strides in building this specialised unit. The unit will open in the summer. Medical staff and doctors but also technical and managing teams are looking forward to welcoming their first patients.
