Speak Up
At Ramsay Health Care, patient safety is at the heart of everything we do. Our strong safety culture relies on every team member speaking up if they notice something that could affect a patient’s care.
The Speak Up program gives our people the tools and confidence to raise concerns in different ways:

In the moment: Patient-facing employees receive graded assertiveness training so they feel confident to speak up straight away.

Afterward: If that’s not possible, employees can use a dedicated Speak Up platform to report concerns as soon as they can.

Through peers: A peer messenger system provides another simple way to raise issues.

Leadership support: Professional accountability leaders are available to help guide and support the process.
No matter how an issue is raised, our leadership team reviews it promptly and takes action. In many cases, a respectful conversation is all that’s needed to resolve the matter quickly.
The Speak Up program is evidence-based and built on teamwork and open communication. It helps us maintain the highest standards of patient safety and we encourage everyone to use it whenever they have a concern.
