Accessing inpatient rehabilitation
To take part in an inpatient rehabilitation program, you’ll need a referral from your doctor or specialist. They will assess your needs and discuss whether inpatient rehabilitation is the right option for you. The type of rehabilitation recommended will depend on your individual circumstances.
Other rehabilitation options may include:
-
Day patient rehabilitation: A structured program for people who don’t need to stay overnight but still benefit from regular therapy sessions. A doctor’s referral is required.
-
Ramsay Health Plus: Outpatient allied health services such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, exercise physiology, speech pathology, dietetics and psychology. These services support recovery and wellbeing and do not require a referral. Visit the Ramsay Health Plus website to learn more.
